Rights of Gitmo prisoners upheld

This Washington Times article reports on a DC District court judge ruling that war prisioners are to be afforded "due process" rights. My first reading of the opinion is that the government should have prevailed. Now I wonder if anyone read these guys their rights before they were captu- uh- "arrested?" Perhaps the SpecOps people need to start carrying multi-lingual Miranda cards. Or just kill everyone on a battlefield and save some trouble. Not a good ruling.

UPDATE: A related topic here.
