In the deep South, we have two ethnic groups living in the same area _ Thais brought up as Buddhists and Thais of ethnic Malay descent brought up as Muslims. Harmony or division between these two groups depends on the perception one group has of the other.If it was simple, it wouldn't be so hard to close the divide.
Of course, one's perception of the other is complex and varies from one member of the group to another.
