An Israeli Navy boat intercepted Sunday a Palestinian shipping vessel carrying explosives and mines, the Israeli Military spokesperson's office said in press release.Apparently this is the second such interception within a week.
Navy officials said their forces identified a Palestinian boat sailing into an area in the southern Gaza Strip bordering Egypt prohibited for entry and crossing. When the boat sailed back across the border to the Gaza Strip, soldiers on the nearby military vessel told it to halt and fired warning shots when it refused to stop.
