Capt Pottengal Mukundan, Director of the Kuala Lumpur-based International Chamber of Commerce (ICC)-IMB, said the high-risk areas at the moment are in Somalia and the estuaries in Nigeria.
"So, the Melaka Strait is not a hotspot in the world anymore. According to our statistics, it is not a problem at the moment," he told Bernama after sitting as a panellist at a roundtable discussion on security in the Melaka and Singapore Straits, Tuesday.
