"We must be ready to dare all for our country. For history does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. We must acquire proficiency in defense and display stamina in purpose." - President Eisenhower, First Inaugural Address

D-Day
Imagine 900 ships heading to a beach.
Imagine you are the coxswain of a landing craft full of troops about to land. Imagine the excitement, the fear, the need to stay calm.
All the machinery of war, all the equipment, all the men, all the training, all the battleships, all the airplanes, the paratroops, the planning.
And they got the job done.
D-Day
June 6, 1944.
