Waking the Canadians

At least a Canadian admiral is awake:
"We're really lucky in North America. We're really lucky in Canada. A lot of this stuff was always 'over there,' even after 9/11. Well, it wasn't about us, at least in the minds of some Canadians. Well, that's not so any more."

He said the West Coast is vulnerable to attacks by those he calls "the disaffected, the angry and the frustrated."
***
He said there are hundreds, even thousands of potential "soft targets" in B.C., that include everything from sports stadiums to the legislature to ships at sea.

"Whether it's a slow-moving cruise ship, or an equally slow-moving oil tanker that's running from Valdez into Anacortes, that's just our neighbourhood you'll note, the vulnerabilities are there."
Yes, they are. And we stand on guard with thee.
