An investigation into the Hizbullah terrorist attack on an Israeli Navy boat last Friday shows that missile systems were not prepared to intercept the Iranian-made rocket. Four sailors were killed in the incident.I'd say, except for the four dead crew, the Israeli ship was pretty lucky it wasn't worse.
The Israeli warship had only 20 seconds to respond and was lacking intelligence information that would have prepared Naval officers to respond. The missile exploded above the ship but caused a shock wave which resulted in a fire and a hole in the boat.
"We must be ready to dare all for our country. For history does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. We must acquire proficiency in defense and display stamina in purpose." - President Eisenhower, First Inaugural Address
