"Kapit Bisig has many components, there are socio- economic, security and security assistance and other support activities that they (US) will give to the AFP to enhance the capability of the AFP for counter-terrorism, transnational crimes, disaster preparedness and even possible pandemic," said Cruz.

Cruz said the exercise might be held nationwide, including Mindanao where terrorist, secessionist and even communist groups are operating. "Of course Mindanao is included when it comes to socio-economic projects," he said.
