What he says

USS Kitty Hawk and the Song from China - well covered at Murdoc Online and the places he points to, like In from the Cold, and DefenceTech.

CDR Salamander has some thoughts (note the comments, especially AW1 Tim, who hits on logistics as professional should).

Kitty Hawk photo info:
Aircraft from Carrier Air Wing 5 fly over a group of 18 U.S. and Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force ships Nov. 14, at the conclusion the two nations' exercise ANNUALEX. ANNUALEX kicked off Nov. 9 and included more than 85 JMSDF and 13 U.S. ships and submarines, plus dozens of air wing and shore-based aircraft. About 8,500 U.S. personnel took part. Ships taking part in the exercise-ending photo shoot were the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63), two guided-missile cruisers, two Military Sealift Command oilers, two submarines, seven guided-missile destroyers and four JMSDF destroyers. Two helicopters flying above the ships carry the Japanese and U.S. flags. The aircraft, which operate from Naval Air Facility Atsugi, Japan, are deployed aboard the Kitty Hawk. Kitty Hawk and most of the U.S.-participating ships operate from Fleet Activity Yokosuka, Japan; the remainder is based in the United States. And yes, I was tempted to photoshop the Song into the picture as a formation trail, but I resisted...
