Follow-up: Civil Air Patrol and the now found Scout

As a follow-on to a couple of posts concerning (1) the Civil Air Patrol and (2) a missing Boy Scout. The Civil Air Patrol played a role in recovering the Scout, as set out
here:

Civil Air Patrol's North Carolina Wing flew in specially trained canine teams used to assist in the search for Michael Auberry, a 12-year-old Boy Scout found the afternoon of March 20 after missing for four days in Stone Mountain State Park.

The Air Force Rescue Coordination Center had alerted the North Carolina Wing to provide requested support and assistance in the search for Auberry. Willkes County, N.C., authorities contacted the North Carolina Emergency Operations Center and the North Carolina Department of Crime Control and Public Safety asking for CAP's assistance in transporting the needed dog teams and their equipment from Southport, N.C.

Three CAP aircraft and aircrews departed from Raleigh and Harnett counties early March 20, flew to Southport in Brunswick County, picked up the dogs, their handlers and equipment, and flew them directly to Wilkes County. The CAP aircraft arrived in Wilkes County about 9:30 a.m.
