UAE gets U.S. missiles for patrol corvettes


Reported here:
A U.S.-made system to defend against cruise missiles will be added to a fleet of United Arab Emirates ships that will patrol the Persian Gulf.

The UAE placed a $76.5 million order for seven Rolling Airframe Missile Guided Missile Systems built by Raytheon for installation on six Baynunah-class corvettes that will soon begin guarding the coastline of the strategic nation.
