The odd story of the Iranian ship taken by Somali pirates with reported illnesses and death among the pirates (see here) takes new turn as the pirates release the ship:
Armed Somali pirates on Friday released three Indians and 26 other members of the crew on board a hijacked cargo ship after keeping them in captivity for more than one- and-a-half months. All were unharmed.Ship photo from Shipspotting.com credited to Reinier Meuleman. Larger image available there.
“The vessel has been released by Somali pirates and all crew are safe and healthy,” the Directorate General of Shipping said in a release.
