Take the Day Off, It's Time for Giving Thanks

All of us have something to be thankful for, even it sometimes seems that we carry heavy burdens in hard times.

Count your blessings. If you are reading this, you are breathing, able to read and have access to the internet.

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow
Praise Him all creatures here below
Praise Him above ye heavenly hosts
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost
Amen

Thanks for your blog as well. I don't comment a lot, because you either say it all, or other commenters say what I'd offer either more cogently, or more eloquently, or both. :)

I'm thankful that I have my youngest daughter, and my son with me, that we have a roof over our heads, food on the table and clean clothes to wear. That's more than a lot of folks have, and I'm greatful for that.

I used to volunteer regularly at the local soup kitchen. I'm still there from time to time as I can. I've seen up close how some folks have to get by. Doing that puts an awful lot into perspective.

Thanks again for all your efforts here. It's a nice part of my daily routine.

  2. Good for them!
Sometimes we gotta ceasefire just to have a little peace on our own.
