Friday Film: The Sky Giant: the story of Rear Admiral Charles E. Rosendahl
What came to my mind is the analogy of the airships to the LCS. Advanced technology vesseles, light weight because they had to be, meant for less the full frontal combat. Dispparged by many during their early time in service, but adopted latter because of operational need.
Wow, that was very interesting. I knew about the airship problems, but not Admiral Rosendahl.
ReplyDeleteJust before the airship lands on carrier, it drops water ballast on many of the sailors on the deck!
